There has been several new Members join the Club these past couple of months and I would like to extend a warm welcome to those listed below:

In other news, 119 Starter Members conclude their coaching programs with Matt and Andrius this week. In fantastic news for the Club, more than 70 have opted to continue their membership at Lonsdale Links. A big thank you to Matt, Andrius and Lachy for another successful Starter Member program. Applications have now opened for the 2024/25 intake.

Unfortunately our email system malfunctioned when sending news of Matt Rogers' resignation from the Director of Golf role. If you didn't receive the email, you can find the full message in Member News. I again take this opportunity to thank Matt for his fantastic leadership and contribution to our Club. We wish him and his family all the best for their move to Queensland.

Proxy voting has now closed for this Sunday's Special General Meeting (28th April 10:00am). I will communicate again with Members next week with the result from this meeting.

STAFF PROFILE: ROB SWANDER

Rob has recently joined the Front of House team as Food and Beverage Supervisor.

Tell us about your background. What were you doing prior to joining Lonsdale Links?

I grew up in California. I originally moved here for Uni at Latrobe University a long time ago. I have lived in Ocean Grove for the last 10 years. I have an extensive background in hospitality for a number of years but most recently was at Active Feet in Ocean Grove after finding a passion for running.

Tell us about your role? What do you do on a day-to-day basis?

Supervisor, bartender, barista, food lover and runner, stand up comedian, professional wine glass polisher, member night mc...

What are you liking most about your role so far?

The team and the members have provided such a warm welcome it's been great.

What do you do when you're not at work?

Hang out with my family, run, golf, fish, kayak, barbecue, eat great food.

LON & BEYOND EXHIBITION FEATURING LONSDALE LINKS ARTWORK

Lon Retreat will host a solo exhibition by artist Cathy Quinn. Amongst her body of paintings she has created a piece called 'Watery Conundrum on the 8th' that features our very own Greenkeepers Suggestion Box on the 8th.

The exhibition will be open from Friday 5th April to Sunday 26th May, all visitors welcome. There is also an opportunity to purchase the artwork through the Little Shop of Lon.
